Instructional design is all about creating instructional experiences which make the acquisition of knowledge and
skill more efficient, effective, and appealing.
The process consists broadly of determining the current state and needs of the learner, defining the end goal, and creating interventions to assist in the transition. This approach is underpinned by tested theories of teaching and adult
learning – but if you’ve got this far you probably know this already!
We believe that learner engagement is the key: if the learning is interesting, suitably challenging and interactive, learners will be better able to internalise and apply the information and processes to their own work situations.
